FEATURES
- Sample Sealing: These strips are used to hermetically seal 0.1 ml or 0.2 ml tubes that are used for storage and chemical reactions, including PCR and RT-qPCR.
- 8-strip design: Closing strips are available as a strip connecting eight small tubes of 0.1 ml or 0.2 ml each. Such strips are convenient because they allow multiple reactions to be carried out at the same time, which is especially useful in laboratory work where we need many samples for analysis.
- Flat Lids: Flat strip lids are optimized to fit tightly to tubes, helping to maintain airtightness and minimize the risk of possible sample contamination.
- Material: Closing strips are made of materials that are resistant to the temperatures used in PCR and RT-qPCR reactions, including high temperatures during DNA denaturation and extreme temperature changes during thermal cycling.
- Markings: Googlab Scientific brand strips have numerical markings that help identify individual samples in the strip, which is important when performing many reactions at the same time.
- Automation: The strips are compatible with automatic PCR and RT-qPCR systems, which allows for even greater efficiency and precision in testing.
- High quality materials: Strips and lids are usually made of high-quality plastics that are resistant to temperature changes, chemicals and other factors that may be present during PCR or RT-qPCR reactions.
- Process optimalization: Thanks to the possibility of simultaneously carrying out many reactions in one strip, efficiency and time saving are increased. Different samples, conditions or genes can be tested in one run, which is beneficial in scientific research and diagnostics.
- DNase and RNase: These are enzymes that degrade DNA and RNA, respectively. In molecular laboratories, DNase or RNase contamination can degrade target DNA or RNA, leading to inaccurate or erroneous experimental results. The “DNAse/Rnase Free” designation means that the cover strips and plates have undergone a process that removes or inactivates these enzymes to prevent degradation of the genetic material during experiments.
- Pyrogens: Pyrogens are substances that can cause inflammatory responses in the body, such as fever. Pyrogens can influence experimental results and lead to disruptions in analyses. The “Pyrogen Free” designation means that the closure strips and plates have been processed to eliminate pyrogens, minimizing the risk of inflammatory reactions or interference with experimental results.
RANGES

USAGE
- PCR is a technique used to amplify (duplicate) a specific DNA sequence in order to obtain enough genetic material for analysis. 8-strip closure strips with flat lids are used to close small 0.1 ml or 0.2 ml tubes in which the PCR reaction takes place. Each of these strips contains eight separate tubes, allowing eight independent PCR reactions to be performed simultaneously in one cycle.
- RT-qPCR (Real-Time Reverse Transcriptase PCR):RT-qPCR is a technique that combines a reverse transcriptase step with PCR to detect and quantitatively measure the amount of nucleic acid (usually RNA) in samples. 8-strip closure strips with flat lids are also used in this technique, enabling multiple RT-qPCR reactions to be performed simultaneously.
